WATERFALL FARMS
Pieter Michau is a 7th generation farmer and a 4th
generation Angora farmer. He manages a successful mixed farming
operation on 12 000 hectares of land with some 4 500 Angora
goats. Average rainfall on the farm varies from 12 to 20 inches
– mainly due to the significant height above sea level variances
(between 2800 and 6000 feet) on the farm. Pieter regularly
features high in the quality mohair clip stakes – evidence of a
motivated Camdeboo quality focused management style.

GANNAVLAKTE FARMS
Wentzel and Elanie Lombard manage some 5 300 Angoras – producing
+/- 8 000 kg of mohair every six months on their 8 000 hectare
farm – average rainfall of 22 inches per year. Wentzel, very
much focused on producing top quality mohair clips, is a keen
Camdeboo supporter and recognises the longer term value of the
initiative as it aims to stabilise the industry. Wentzel and
Elanie have two sons and a daughter.
