ANGORA

Roy Heydenrich and wife Jenny live in the Jansenville district on the farm Angora - just over 4 500 hectare in size and manage some 2 400 goats. During recent times he has proved very successful in producing mohair clips of exceptional quality and has become a regular at winning international recognition. Roy and Jenny have three sons and a daughter.

 

 

DRIEKOPSVLEI-WES

Hansie Terblanche is the 4th generation on the almost 6 500 hectare farm which has an average annual rainfall of 225mm. His mixed farming operation in the Jansenville district includes more than 2 500 Angora goats. He has some specific views on Camdeboo and foresees increased success due to its on-going efforts to offer farmers the alternative of direct marketing.

 

 

RIETGAT

Boertjie Oelofse and his wife Elzanč run a sizeable mixed farming operation on 20000 hectares of land in the Jansenville district. Boertjie started his own farm in 1981 and today he has in excess of 4 000 Angora goats. He believes that Camdeboo’s efforts to “ultimately bring about stability in mohair prices will ensure a better future for the industry as a whole”.

Boertjie and  Elzanč have four children – Jay, Mandre, Andrea and Petronč.

  

  

MARTYRSFORD 

‘AB’ Hobson and Pippa, have a daughter Debbie and two sons, Sean and David. The average rainfall on their 9 000 hectare farm in the Jansenville district, is some 300 mm per year. Recognised for producing high quality mohair clips ‘AB’ is a recognised industry leader.
